First aim of the workshop is to provide a comprehensive overview on fundamental topics in composite components design and development, in the ligth of the most recent innovation in terms of materials and technologies. This will be the first step in defining a knowledge platform to be used ad basis for the development of new high-tech products, with higher performance and reliability, suitable to provide the right (and winning) answer to the strong challenges imposed by the global market.
After the presentation of some case histories, the second part of the workshop will be dedicated to the discussion of a subject of actual interest: the fire resistance and reaction of components and
structures made in composite material.
