Organisation is well underway for the third year of Compotec, the International Fair for composite materials and related technologies, due to take place from 16 to 18 February 2011 in Carrara.
Compotec, promoted by CarraraFiere, is the only international event in Italy focussing entirely on the use of composite materials. The event stands as a reference point for the industry offering real opportunities to find out more about the materials and exchange ideas in this complex "world of composite materials" which are becoming increasingly used in a vast range of diverse industries: from aeronautics, the car industry, furnishings, the boat industry, transportation, building, energy, chemistry, medicine to sport and leisure time and even artistic experimentation.
The adaptability of these materials, together with their hard-wearing, resistant and lightweight characteristics, makes them high performing materials in all areas of application. High design will be the main focus of an important conference - theme: The state of the art. Evolution and promotion of composite materials. Meeting with leading designers in different operational environments - Bikes, Cars, Trains, Aircraft, Yachts and Furniture, that will be held on 18 February during Compotec 2011.
An opportunity for a real dialogue for all the industry, whereby the participation of the representatives of the exhibiting companies in the debate will create a real exchange of ideas between speakers and the public sharing the same interest.
Among the numerous events, that will be published shortly, the Compotec Award, the award for exhibitors at Compotec, which is both a way to find out about what's new in the industry and an opportunity for companies and designers to promote their products.
Much appreciated is the fact that Compotec will now be held together with Seatec - the 9° International Exhibition of technology, subcontracting and design for boats, mega yachts and ships - decided with a view to extending the positive synergy that is already very strong between the boat industry and the composite materials industry.
A high percentage of the companies taking part in the second year have in fact confirmed their participation in the third year, while other numerous quality manufacturers, both Italian and foreign, are now sending in their requests for exhibition spaces.
